About The Position

The Membership Services Representative serves as the face of the Welcome Desk at the Kroc Center, providing exceptional customer service and support to members and visitors. This part-time role involves executing daily operations, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all. The position requires availability for evening and weekend shifts, with a total of 18 hours per week, and offers the opportunity for occasional daytime hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience, including cash-handling.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
• Sales and closing skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to continuous changes.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work positively with diverse backgrounds and in a team setting.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and Internet.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a community center or similar environment.
• Knowledge of fitness and recreational programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service by being knowledgeable about facility programs and services.
• Accurately collect fees and information related to memberships, day passes, gift cards, classes, and rentals.
• Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department.
• Report problems or issues to the appropriate supervisors or Manager on Duty.
• Conduct effective tours to promote new memberships.
• Assist with customer retention by contacting members for updated payment information.
• Maintain a clean and organized Welcome Desk, stocked with up-to-date program guides and sales items.
