About The Position

The Greater Waco YMCA is accepting applications for an energetic, dependable and articulate individual to work part time as a Member Service Representative in our fast-paced, family-oriented environment. Available Shift: Monday through Friday- Midday and Afternoon, Weekends Essential Functions The Member Service Representative delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants contributing to member retention. Answering phones in a professional manner. General data entry and clerical functions. Responsible for monies received during shift and ensures that transactions are accurately recorded. Completes End of Shift process reconciling cash, check, and credit transactions to balance the shift report. Conduct facility tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; while promoting membership at the Y. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA. Qualifications Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age. Excellent knowledge of computers and office software are essential. Cash handling experience is preferred. Previous customer service, sales or related experience desired. Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work effectively under pressure. Candidates must be punctual, reliable and available to work their assigned shift. Be able to work Monday through Friday- Midday and Afternoon, Weekends Must have a neat appearance and be well-groomed. Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community in a respectful manner. Ability to maintain a calm, professional presence when handling stressful or difficult situations. CPR/ First Aid Certification required within 30 days of hire. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal history, sex offender and reference checks. Requirements
