About The Position

Additional perks include: Complimentary full-access club membership Career growth opportunities within a thriving, multi-unit organization Ongoing sales training and professional development A high-energy, collaborative team culture The chance to make a real impact in people's lives every single day What You'll Do Drive New Membership Sales Conduct engaging club tours for walk-ins, scheduled appointments, and prospective members Convert leads into prospects, prospects into tours, and tours into new members Meet and exceed monthly sales quotas and membership revenue goals Close sales, complete membership agreements, collect payments, and ensure a seamless sign-up experience Generate Leads & Build Relationships Self-generate new business through outside sales, grassroots marketing, community outreach, and networking events Build and maintain a strong referral pipeline from satisfied members Conduct outbound calls, follow up on marketing leads, and manage inbound membership inquiries Partner with local businesses, corporate accounts, and residential communities to drive interest Create an Exceptional Member Experience Welcome and onboard new members, reinforcing their decision to join Provide outstanding customer service to current members — handling upgrades, transfers, and rejoins Stay up to date on all club programs, services, amenities, and facility offerings to confidently answer any question Collaborate & Grow Attend monthly prospecting and networking events Participate in club events, community functions, and ongoing sales training Accurately maintain daily/weekly sales tracking reports Provide lead source data to support marketing strategy and campaign planning What We're Looking For 1+ year of sales experience — fitness, health club, hospitality, retail, or B2C preferred Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Confident, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor Self-motivated with a hunter mentality — you don't wait for leads, you go find them Comfortable with cold calling, outbound prospecting, and community-based selling Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends Passion for fitness, health, wellness, or sports is a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required About The Plex Athletic Club The Plex is San Jose's all-in-one athletic club and entertainment destination, featuring 240,000 square feet of state-of-the-art fitness facilities, group exercise classes, ice hockey and soccer programs, childcare services, food & beverage options, and event spaces. Qualifications

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience — fitness, health club, hospitality, retail, or B2C preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality — you don't wait for leads, you go find them
  • Comfortable with cold calling, outbound prospecting, and community-based selling
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • Passion for fitness, health, wellness, or sports is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
