MEMBERSHIP SALES REP SPORT AND FITNESS Job Summary Primary Responsibility: The Membership Advocate/Administrator is responsible for membership sales activities at Columbia Association. These activities include daily call drives, membership sales, corporate/residential/preferred partner/public membership prospecting, marketing-related activities, planning social events inside the club and around the community, and Value-Added Program sales: personal training, small group training, and Martial Arts services. This position is a full-time position scheduled at 40 hours work week. The Membership Advocate will report directly to the Director of Sales. This job description is not all-inclusive, and all employees should refer to the Employee Handbook for further guidance. Columbia Association also reserves the right to modify this job description at any time with written notice to the employee. Essential Functions 1. To ensure consistently meeting or exceeding goals. 2. Provide effective membership tours to prospective members and guests, determining their interest, goals & why; matching those needs and wants with membership. 3. Follow up by phone/text/email with those who do not join today and do not have an appointment to engage in the club within 24 hours with a relevant reason to the prospect. Follow the 5 min rule. 4. When not touring, generate new sales leads through prospecting -- 1 new corporate accounts per month, continue to work current leads, Member referrals, renewals, former members, old leads, community outreach, etc. You are expected to make a minimum of 40 phone calls per day and have a minimum of 2-4 appointments per day. 5. Make approximately 10 calls per day to current Members to stay in touch, assist with Member retention and engage Members in NDR programs. 6. Listen to and read relevant sales materials and participate in weekly, daily & monthly sales meetings to enhance performance. 7. Meet and exceed established goals monthly to maintain employment. Goals are both in membership and non-dues programs. If you miss your goals in any three months through a 12-month period, you may be terminated or at minimum taken off the up system. 8. Complete all membership paperwork & Membership check list accurately, completely and promptly submit for processing. 9. Complete membership sales reports accurately and submitted daily. You are expected to utilize your sales reports to accurately analyze, adjust and manage your business by numbers so that we, as a club, can accurately manage the business numbers. 10. Work as a team member with other staff to provide a high level of service to members, inspiration and leadership to staff and assist in directing the flow of the club for smooth and profitable operation. 11. Required SBWA twice per day for 15 minutes each time to build relationships and generate guest traffic. 12. Attend all Member Mixers and monthly social functions. 13. Participate and assist in the planning and implementation of all promotions and Member socials/mixers by having a lead generation plan for both new member sales and non-dues revenue done one month ahead of the start of each quarter.
