About The Position

DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Membership Representative I to join our Missionary Medical Department as part of our Membership Team. This full-time role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about supporting our mission and values while ensuring high-quality care for missionaries and members. Supporting mission presidents and their spouses by alleviating administrative burdens. These objectives are achieved through a culture of operational excellence and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, quantitative skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated reliability in follow-through and accountability.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act, all applicants, including U.S. citizens, must present documentation verifying identity and authorization to work in the United States prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, including transactional processing, enrollment, medical management, customer service, COB policy, and plan design.
  • General understanding of Medicare.
  • Experience handling customer service phone calls.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to administer missionary and mission president plans, including SSMP, CAMA, Young Missionary, and Mission President programs.
  • Manage all aspects of enrollment, insurance, and HIPAA updates for assigned plans.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and resolve membership-related inquiries for each plan.
