About The Position

Be the face of great futures! Our Membership Receptionists interact with the clients that BGCTM serves on a daily basis and provide excellent customer service to youth, teens, families, and members of our community. Receptionists are also supported in their career development with ongoing training, a career roadmap detailing promotional timelines, and key performance indicators. Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens. All BGCTM employees have the responsibility to help maintain the safety of our members and staff, and ensure an optimal club experience for all. In exchange, BGCTM offers extensive benefits: Part time employees are enrolled in Nivati including free mental health and well-being services. Plus, part time employees are eligible for PTO. Pay starts at $14.50 an hour. This role is part time, with flexible scheduling to accommodate personal life or class schedules. We always aim for consistent schedules for our staff to promote balance. Shifts may vary. This role is for our Fernley Clubhouse.

Requirements

  • You are a fun, energetic, and excited individual.
  • You want to pursue a career in data entry, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • You have a passion for building a better community.
  • You have the ability to communicate and cooperate with children, other staff and parents.
  • Minimum of 17 years or older.
  • You will need to provide 3 references. These references should be professional references if you have work experience. If you don’t have work experience, these references can be any non-family member over the age of 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism.
  • You will also be asked to complete a drug screen for any illegal substances, background check, and fingerprint check.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for members, parents, and visitors.
  • Provide information on Club programs to members, parents, visitors, and phone inquiries.
  • Work closely with program and administrative staff as needed.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with youth and teens in our programs.
  • Create and maintain a safe and positive environment for our community’s youth and teens.
  • All BGCTM employees have the responsibility to help maintain the safety of our members and staff, and ensure an optimal club experience for all.
