About The Position

StretchLab is seeking a creative and energetic sales and marketing professional to develop avenues for new leads, opportunities to engage current members in the life of StretchLab, and increase sales of memberships, service agreements, and products. The Membership Growth Lead will create opportunities for new leads to discover the power of one-on-one assisted stretching while moving them through a well-designed system aimed at creating new membership sales for both StretchLab Long Beach Marina and StretchLab Surf City. The successful Membership Growth Lead will report to the Owner and will work closely with the Area Manager and the two Lead Flexologists, as well as all other team members to ensure that membership sales increase, attrition is kept low, and members feel that their membership is always apprciated. The Membership Growth Lead will serve on the company’s leadership team, meeting weekly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of membership sales experience
  • 3+ years working in a fitness / wellness environment
  • Confidence in generating personal sales and exceeding shared goals, including net memberships, lower freeze rates, and lower attrition rates. Engage informal influence to encourage colleagues to act according to best practices and greater achievement.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Trustworthy with a commitment to upholding company policy, keeping to defined procedures, and securing confidential information.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public.
  • Proficiency with computers and studio software, building to mastery of these tools.
  • Keep mostly regular hours while maintaining schedule flexibility to successfully execute events planned by this position; work some evening and weekend hours.
  • Ability to stand or sit for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in-person, phone, email, text messaging and other channels; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Solid writing and grammar skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Create a monthly / annual marketing plan to ensure a steady flow of membership prospects through any number of possible events, such as: Grassroots Partnerships; Health Fairs; Grand Openings of like-minded product and service organizations; Local Marathons; Golf, tennis, pickleball, and other relevant sporting events; Community wellness events; and Other events.
  • Advise on the improvement of the membership sales process and provide feedback during leadership meetings to increase first-visit attendance, reduce attrition, and keep membership freezes low.
  • Coordinate events with social media, SMS, and email platforms to ensure uniformity of an enthusiastic message.
  • Work with company leadership to develop a “Mobility Matters” SOP and ensure that the SOP supports the program’s goals.
  • Design and implement a referral campaign rewarding all members / staff who successfully refer a new member to the studio.
  • Reach out to local corporate leaders to provide their employees with StretchLab benefits at more favorable rates than individual memberships. This should include an assessment of senior citizen residences within our marketing areas.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to include relevant initiatives in a monthly newsletter distributed electronically to connect members with the StretchLab Community.
  • Organize a 100, 200, 300, 400 (etc.) stretch club at both studios and keep new members of these clubs apprised of their status, encouraging all through in-studio events and through social media.
  • Define how Google, Yelp, Facebook, and other reviews positively influence our standing in the community. Create a program to encourage regular reviews by happy members.
  • Enthusiastically greet members / visitors as they arrive and assist them with their visit.
  • Schedule appointments with clients, prospects, and visitors through ClubReady.
  • Cover front desk duties on occasion, when required during normal operating hours.
  • Build and maintain proficiency in the studio’s CRM, ClubReady, to enter contacts, keep client health information confidential, and handle financial transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a member of the company leadership team, working closely with management team, Membership Coordinators and Flexologists to implement successful sales strategies through their respective supervisors.
  • Represent StretchLab, RocosiStretch, Inc., and Xponential Fitness in a professional manner with enthusiasm and positive energy.
  • Related duties as assigned.
