About The Position

The Membership Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the membership office by maintaining an organized, professional, and welcoming environment. This position works closely with programming staff to ensure members are safely checked in and out in compliance with all safety protocols, while fostering positive relationships with members, staff, community partners, and board members. These are some of the additional responsibilities of the membership coordinator: Manage the membership application process, including collecting payments, required documents, and maintaining accurate member records in the database. Train and supervise membership staff, including managing schedules, performance, and professional development. Ensure all members are safely checked in and out, actively engaged in programs, and educated on Club standards and expectations. Conduct member orientations and interface regularly with members, parents/guardians, community partners, and Club staff. Assist programming staff with administrative tasks, including calendars, forms, and event coordination. Support financial operations by handling cash, deposits, invoices and coordinating with the Financial Director as needed. Maintain the membership office, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring equipment is functional. Organize membership recruitment events and promote membership growth. Attend all required meetings and trainings, including coordinator and staff meetings, and maintain knowledge of Club programs, policies, and safety procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with the Boys & Girls Club preferred.
  • Familiarity with entering and processing membership applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to produce and provide data/reports on time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Reliable and punctual reporting for assigned tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, payroll, or web-based time system.
  • You will need to provide 3 professional references.
  • You will also be asked to complete a drug screen, background check, and fingerprint check.
