About The Position

Membership Analyst The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) is a mission-driven non-profit dedicated to ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. Since our founding in 1984, we have helped conserve nearly one square mile of elk country every day. In partnership with others, we have conserved or enhanced more than 9.1 million acres, including improving public access to 1.6 million acres. Our impact will extend to 10 million acres by 2030. RMEF is seeking a Membership Analyst to support our direct response program. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, usability and strategic application of membership data. This position is fully focused on direct response and marketing data (including direct mail and digital campaigns). Responsibilities include: Serving as a key partner to Membership, Marketing, Finance, and IT Campaign list development, segmentation, performance reporting, and data-driven insights that support acquisition, retention, fundraising, and revenue growth This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of conservation in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience working with CRM or marketing databases in a direct response, fundraising, or membership environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting direct mail and/or digital marketing campaigns through data selection, segmentation, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of and support for RMEF’s mission, goals, and activities.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems used for membership and direct response marketing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with reporting or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Ability to interpret campaign performance metrics and translate data into actionable insights.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced campaign environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively across teams—proactively work with other staff to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes that meet organizational priorities.
  • The employee must sit or stand for long periods of time; use a computer terminal extensively; reach forward and to the side; bend from both standing and sitting positions; and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment.
  • The role requires extensive screen time and focused concentration for technical work.
  • Minimal travel may be required (less than 10% annually) for training, conferences, or vendor meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with NetSuite (or comparable CRM/ERP platforms) and Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain membership and direct response data within the CRM to ensure accuracy, integrity, and readiness for marketing use.
  • Build and deliver data pulls, selections, and suppressions for all direct mail and digital marketing campaigns, ensuring timelines and specifications are met.
  • Develop and maintain audience segmentation strategies to support acquisition, renewal, fundraising, upgrade, and reactivation efforts.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc campaign reports, dashboards, and analyses to measure performance across mail and digital channels.
  • Partner with Membership Marketing and Customer Response teams to interpret results, identify trends, and recommend data-driven optimizations.
  • Conduct routine data audits, hygiene processes, and quality checks related to campaign data and reporting outputs.
  • Support campaign forecasting, revenue tracking, and post-campaign analysis for direct response initiatives.
  • Coordinate with IT and external vendors to support CRM functionality related to direct response and marketing operations.
  • Document data processes, campaign workflows, and reporting standards to support consistency and continuity.
  • Ensure data handling practices align with organizational policies and applicable privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Provide data support for drawings, seed tracking, and other compliance-related direct response activities.
  • Assist with proofing variable data and list logic for direct mail production when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
