About The Position

The Member Team Lead assists management in supervising associates within their assigned area of responsibility. This includes assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing guidance on member service techniques to resolve complaints according to company guidelines. The role ensures compliance with company policies, supports the Open Door Policy, and participates in various HR functions such as recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates. A key aspect of the position is communicating and supporting membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, processing memberships, encouraging renewals, and participating in sales and marketing events to meet membership goals. The Team Lead is responsible for providing excellent member service, which involves acknowledging members, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding on self-service technology, and facilitating transactions at registers or self-checkout. Operational oversight includes handling claims and returns, zoning and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining cart availability, assisting with item transport, and ensuring parking lot cleanliness. The role also involves completing accounting records, managing funds for register operations, creating financial analysis reports, assisting with accounting investigations, preparing daily deposits, overseeing Cash Fund Transfers, and maintaining the confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Furthermore, the Member Team Lead develops and implements processes to meet business needs, collaborates with various stakeholders, monitors progress, and identifies improvement opportunities. They are expected to demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity, and lead teams by sharing resources, coordinating work, and providing support to achieve timelines and quality. Requirements

  • 6 months retail experience including operating front-end equipment (for example, cash register)
  • 6 months customer service experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Investigating overages and shortages in cash register drawers and accounting office
  • Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information
  • Develops communicates and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers coworkers customers and other business partners
