About The Position

The Member Support Professional role is crucial in developing independence, building confidence, and supporting our Members towards living a full and meaningful life. The position will support adults 18+ with a variety of disabilities. Positions are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and based at House of Possibilities, 350 Washington Street, Easton, MA. In this role, you will: ● Provide the support needed by guests/members to successfully participate in community and in-house activities according to their personal needs and goals ● Assist members as needed with ADL’s and ILS ● Assist members physically as needed. ● Review assigned members and review ongoing as needed ● Dispense medications to guest per MAP regulations ● Attend weekly staff meeting ● Identify and provide the support needed by members to successfully become a part of the community and to participate in in-house activities according to each person’s needs, abilities and wishes. ● Implement weekly schedules, menus, and activities. ● Basic Household Tasks and cleanliness of program ● If not MAP certified, must obtain certification within 3 months. ● Follow all MAP rules and regulations. Other Duties ● Report any unusual incidents or behaviors to appropriate supervisory personnel and complete incident reports as necessary. ● Review and document shift notes daily for program. Minimum Required Technical Skills and Qualifications ● Demonstrated background and knowledge of individuals with disabilities. ● Valid MA Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Requirements

  • Valid MA Driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • MAP Certification. If not MAP certified on hire, then must be certified within the first 3 months of employment.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • English
