About The Position

Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) is a leading organization that supports thousands of independent dealers in the appliance, furniture, bedding, electronics, and custom installation sectors. With over 5,000 members and approximately 14,000 storefronts, NMG is the largest buying, marketing, and business support organization of its kind, representing billions in combined annual sales. For 50 years, NMG has been dedicated to empowering independent businesses, providing them with the tools, resources, and intelligence necessary to thrive in a competitive market. The Member Support Manager (MSM) plays a crucial role in this mission by offering business support and expertise to member companies within a defined territory, ensuring they operate profitably and efficiently. The MSM is responsible for managing a territory that includes approximately 80-130 members, requiring regular travel within the region to provide in-person consultations and support. This role emphasizes the importance of maintaining high levels of contact with existing members through phone and face-to-face interactions. The MSM will proactively assist members in utilizing NMG services effectively, helping them achieve greater success and profitability by leveraging group programs and services. Additionally, recruiting new members is a significant aspect of the job, necessitating the development of strong relationships with regional vendor representatives to facilitate both service and recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and marketing, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. They should demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, along with the ability to manage client expectations and drive outcomes. The MSM will also need to adapt to shifting priorities and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make sound business decisions. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, all while maintaining a professional demeanor in a busy office environment.
