A Day in the Life Strategy, Design, and Execution of Energy Programs: You’ll lead efforts to design, implement, and sustain programs that provide maximum value to ECE’s members. This includes beneficial electrification initiatives, energy conservation efforts, load management and demand-side management programs, and rebate programs that support and grow energy programs. Evaluation and Monitoring: You’ll provide system-level measurement of energy programs, produce insights and metrics to drive decision making, and communicate progress and results. Innovation and Research: You’ll identify and vet new business development opportunities, including programs, products, and rates that reduce organizational expenses, strengthen the cooperative’s bottom line, and improve the member experience. You’ll develop business cases and financial analysis, create pilot test protocols, and support the selection and adoption of systems, hardware, and software to support future programs. Change Management and Coordination: You’ll support budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, procurement, risk management, and data analytics. You’ll lead projects and support change management using the ADKAR model, partnering with internal teams including the project management team.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, energy management, or a related certification, plus minimum of five years of experience in energy management, business administration, portfolio management, analytics, financial analysis, utility industry knowledge, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Credentials: Valid driver's license.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of strategic business principles, excellent analytical abilities, and proficiency with complex problem solving. Communicates clearly, builds strong working relationships, takes ownership of work, maintains confidentiality and high ethical standards, and contributes to innovation and continuous improvement. Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and standard business systems and has foundational understanding of energy technologies, usage patterns, and electrical generation, transmission, and distribution.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree is in a related field is preferred.
