Key duties include maintaining the checkout, entrance, and exit areas, resolving member issues, and promoting Sam's Club products and services. The specialist guides members in using self-service technology, processes purchases, and handles payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies. The role also involves ensuring a safe shopping environment by following safety standards, conducting sweeps, and reporting unsafe situations. Member Specialists acknowledge members, verify membership cards, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and help with transporting items. They are also tasked with safeguarding company assets by observing and reporting potential criminal activity, maintaining necessary paperwork and logs, and executing emergency response procedures to ensure security and safety compliance. A significant aspect of this role includes assisting with the training of new Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, new technology, and program rollouts, fostering continuous learning and process improvement. The specialist also ensures their area of responsibility is maintained by properly handling returns and identifying shrink and damages.
