About The Position

O Bee Credit Union is hiring a Member Solutions Specialist to join our amazing team. This is a full-time role that plays a vital part in supporting our mission, our members, and our one-of-a-kind company culture. What You’ll Do: As our Member Solutions Specialist, you’ll act in the best interest of O Bee Credit Union by resolving delinquent and collection accounts while maintaining respectful, solution-focused relationships with our members. You’ll work directly with members to resolve past-due balances while mitigating financial risk for the credit union. The Details: Location: Lacey, WA Pay Range: The range for this position is $24.87-$37.31 per hour with a target range of $24.87-$31.09 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. Communicate with members to resolve delinquencies and develop repayment plans. Research accounts that require alternative resolutions, including debt restructuring, loan modification, repossession, foreclosure, charge-off, or legal action. Send out required collection and legal notices in compliance with state and federal regulations. Initiate repossession and foreclosure procedures when necessary. Maintain thorough and accurate electronic documentation of all collection activity. Assist with delinquency, charge-off, and recovery reporting for management review. Act as the credit union’s representative in collection and legal matters. Support internal teams and members with inquiries related to delinquent accounts. Assist attorneys with legal pleadings, demand letters, and related administrative tasks. Adhere to all regulatory, policy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements. Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least one year of customer service experience.
  • Must be able to pass a background and credit check. Must be bondable.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and active listening abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and related software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to independently plan and accomplish goals.
  • Proven discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
