Requirements

  • Has 2+ years of related or relevant experience
  • A high school degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Must maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
  • Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Responsibilities

  • Contacting delinquent accounts by phone, mail, and text message.  Taking appropriate action to bring the account current or creating a payment plan.
  • Analyzes the financial situation of delinquent borrowers and makes recommendations on how to remedy the delinquency.  This could include payment plans and repossession of assets.
  • Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activities on assigned accounts.   Accurately maintains documentation necessary to fully detail activities on assigned accounts.
  • Informs management of trends being noted within delinquent files.
  • Testifies at legal proceedings as required. Interacts with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, etc. as necessary.
