About The Position

Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) seeks a friendly, energetic, and organized person to join our Member Services Representative team. What You’ll Do Your primary responsibilities focus on: High quality and high-volume customer service - assisting our members over the phone and in person at various stages of their membership. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent plus
  • 1 to 2 years of demonstrated successful customer service experience by phone and/or in person
  • Notary Public or ability and willingness to obtain Notary Public capabilities
  • Customer-service mindset with patience and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and redirect focus with frequent phone interruptions
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally
  • Comfort working with documentation, records, and data entry
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures while multitasking

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or 4 years of responsible, self-directed work experience in an office environment with customer service focus with call center experience preferred.
