About The Position

The Member Services Representative is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to all members, callers, volunteers and visitors to the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley. We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and adheres to our mission. Must be able to obtain CPR/AED/FA certification (classes provided through the YMCA). Must be 18 yrs or older and able to stand and/or sit for at least 4 hours at a time every day. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Possess the ability to walk and climb stairs and be capable of navigating through the facility and be able to talk, hear and see regularly. Requirements

Must be available for a couple of shifts weekday evenings and weekends
Must be able to obtain CPR/AED/FA certification (classes provided through the YMCA).
Must be 18 yrs or older
Able to stand and/or sit for at least 4 hours at a time every day.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Possess the ability to walk and climb stairs and be capable of navigating through the facility
Be able to talk, hear and see regularly.

Responsibilities

Welcoming members and guests with a warm smile, using their names, and expressing gratitude for their patronage.
Asking questions, using active listening and providing facility tours to help prospective members find the perfect membership and program options.
Building relationships with members, fostering connections within our YMCA community.
Utilizing our operations software for member check-ins, program and membership registration, and payment processing.
Staying knowledgeable about all YMCA and Family Wellness programs and services to assist members effectively.
Handling membership and safety concerns, addressing any issues promptly and appropriately.
