About The Position

Sentry Credit Union is looking for a customer oriented professional to join the team as a Member Services Representative. This role will provide exceptional member service, developing and expanding relationships with members to identify banking needs and ensure their service needs are met. Work hours are Monday through Friday- no weekends or evenings!

Requirements

• Associates degree or minimum 2 years equivalent work experience in a financial institution.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows programs.
• The ability to learn new software as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication and human relation skills.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with potential and existing members to understand their banking needs, explain features, and recommend deposit products and auxiliary services to provide members a financial services package that meets their needs.
• Open routine to complex accounts (i.e. shares, clubs, share drafts and money markets, estate, trust, and custodial) and sets up requested services, ensuring members are provided all regulatory disclosures and understand the features and services available to them.
• Perform basic to complex account maintenance for members, such as changing beneficiaries, adding power of attorney, handling estate accounts, account closing and processing name changes, ensuring all necessary paperwork has been obtained and is in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and credit union policies.
• Support all digital services including online and mobile banking, bill-pay, debit cards, and credit card inquiries.
• Process fraud and blocked card alerts received from external debit card processor.
• Communicate with members to discuss notifications and reissues cards as appropriate.
• Process deposit applications and other documents accurately, communicate with members to sign and provide necessary documents, ensuring accounts are in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with all credit union regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.
