About The Position

Grand River Health Main Campus is seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative Pre-Authorization to join our team in Rifle, CO. Requirements

• Previous experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or pre-authorization preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar healthcare information systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, guarantors, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify necessary demographic and billing information, updating records accurately in the Meditech system.
• Verify insurance benefits, including precertification/authorization for inpatient/outpatient surgical patients, cardiopulmonary services, attended sleep studies, and all clinical outpatient MRI’s, CT’s, and similar diagnostics.
• Notify patients and guarantors to secure financial arrangements prior to services being provided.
• Cross-train with other members of the Patient Access team to assist with registration duties as needed.
• Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
