About The Position

The Member Services Representative II at Advancial Federal Credit Union serves as a vital link between members and the credit union, providing essential account services and support. This role involves handling daily transactions, processing loan applications, and cross-selling various credit union products, all while ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Service-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between members and the Credit Union, providing account information and handling daily needs.
  • Perform routine transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Interview loan applicants and process applications, gathering background information and analyzing credit history.
  • Cross-sell a wide array of credit union products including loan products and electronic services.
  • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
  • Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
  • Apply payments to Advancial loans, credit card payments, and cash advances.
  • Enter customer transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue receipts.
  • Maintain knowledge of loan products for effective cross-selling and assist in the loan process.
  • Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at the end of the shift.
  • Open new accounts including checking, certificates, money markets, and IRA accounts, verifying eligibility.
  • Provide account information and handle member inquiries via phone and in-person.
  • Process and balance bond redemptions when necessary.
  • Prepare daily checks received for deposit, including balancing and scanning checks.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as monitoring supplies and conducting audits.
  • Open and close the branch as needed.
