Role Summary: As a Member Service Representative I, you will build member relationships through quality service experiences, answer member questions in a knowledgeable, professional manner, and perform a variety of cash handling transactions.

  • The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
  • Ability to work in a repetitive motion for a lengthy period of time
  • Prolonged standing
  • Lifting requirement exceeds 15 pounds
  • Ability to work within a moderately loud, fast paced environment
  • Regular use of computer required
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus from close range to long range

Nice To Haves

  • Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred
  • An Associate degree or other form of secondary education is preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered
  • Prior Teller or customer service experience is preferred but not required, as CCU will provide extensive training to the successful candidate

Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of core systems and CCU’s products and services
  • Present and explain beneficial products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs
  • Utilize solid cash handling skills and procedural knowledge to effectively perform a variety of paying and receiving functions
  • Answer questions and resolve problems for members by leveraging effective listening and quality service skills
  • Perform file maintenance and account changes
  • Balance daily transactions, verify cash totals, and investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions
  • Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned
