About The Position

Bloom Credit Union is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Member Service Representative at their Coopersville Branch. This role is responsible for assisting members with their lending needs, including the loan application process, pulling credit reports, calculating debt-to-income ratios, and preparing loan applications for underwriting. The representative will also open new memberships, identify cross-selling opportunities, and recommend appropriate products and services to meet members' financial needs. A comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products, accounts, policies, and procedures is required. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Able to pass a background check.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be detailed oriented.

Nice To Haves

CUAnswers experience preferred.
Lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist members with the loan application process.
Pull credit reports and calculate the debt-to-income ratios.
Prepare loan applications for underwriting and complete necessary documentation to fund or deny a request.
Open memberships.
Identify cross-selling opportunities and make appropriate recommendations of products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
Develop and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and accounts and related policies and procedures.
