About The Position
As a Member Service Representative at Navy Federal Credit Union, you will play a crucial role in providing members and prospective members with a comprehensive range of financial products and services. This includes managing depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRAs, revocable trusts, and estate accounts, as well as lending products and credit/debit cards. You will be expected to perform advanced platform banking functions with minimal supervision, ensuring that members receive the highest level of service. Additionally, you will assist in training lower-level team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, researching, and resolving issues related to member accounts and loans, as well as assisting members with various applications, including consumer, mortgage, equity loans, overdraft protection, and credit cards. You will also provide counseling to current and prospective members about Navy Federal's offerings, ensuring that cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly. Identifying opportunities to cross-sell products and increase service penetration will be a key part of your role, along with performing platform banking functions and complying with federal regulations related to financial products and services. This position may also involve assisting with branch office vault operations, including opening, closing, and balancing procedures, and may require you to serve as a vault custodian. You will be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the branch and the satisfaction of our members.
