As a Member Service Representative, you will be one of the key elements to identify and service the financial needs of our members. This role will be an introduction into branch leadership and will give you high exposure into the lending world. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy and great service, a desire for growth, and a strong ability to contribute and work in a positive team environment.

Requirements

  • General experience and knowledge with computers and technological applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, multitask, and solve problems with sound reasoning.
  • Perform basic math functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.
  • A strong understanding of lending processes and regulations.
  • 1-3 years of similar or related experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively providing value and educating members to support their overall financial wellness.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to match credit union products and services with members' financial needs.
  • Provide leadership support within the branch by being a resource for team members, fostering collaboration, and stepping up when leadership coverage is needed.
  • Ask clarifying questions to understand member needs and guide them through various loan transactions, including purchases, refinances, and consolidations.
  • Perform calculations of loans including interest and fees.
  • Partner with members to collect and verify all necessary documentation, ensuring a smooth and timely loan process from start to finish.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge and effectively communicate the features and benefits of business account openings, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), debt and GAP protection products, and second mortgages to our members.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a NMLS license and meet continuing education requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and any changes in products or services offered to members.
  • Adhere to credit union policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
