This part-time position will report to our Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union: 29 Emmons Dr C40, Princeton, NJ 08540. About NJHA: The New Jersey Hospital Association is a not-for-profit trade organization representing New Jersey’s hospitals, health systems, behavioral healthcare systems, rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, assisted living, nursing homes and other healthcare providers. NJHA and its affiliates, the Health Research and Educational Trust of New Jersey and Healthcare Business Solutions, share a collective goal of improving the health of New Jerseyans through services and programs that enhance quality, affordable, equitable, and accessible healthcare. Objective: Ensures efficient and courteous member services related to incoming and outgoing calls, financial transactions, loans, and other inquiries. Promotes all credit union products, meeting monthly cross-sell objectives.

  • Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner
  • Accurately and efficiently performs maintenance on existing accounts in accordance to HEFCU policies and procedures.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, check verification, loan payments, etc. in accordance to HEFCU policies and procedures.
  • Provides accurate information to members regarding account information, HEFCU products and services, and credit union policy.
  • Attains cross-sell goals on a monthly basis to deepen member relationships.
  • Actively seeks solutions to member concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner, and escalates accordingly.
  • Maintains a comprehensive and current knowledge of all HEFCU products and services. Explain, promote, and refer relevant products to meet the financial needs of each member.
  • Balances and performs end of day closing activities in accordance to HEFCU policies and procedures.
  • Assists members with account reconciliation; research accounts for discrepancies when necessary.
  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations applicable for the position, and keeps abreast of any changes.
  • Prevents controllable losses by strict adherence to security, compliance, and fraud & prevention policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures described in the Employee Handbook.
  • Completes annual mandatory compliance and other assigned trainings.
  • Travels to other locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2-years-experience in Member Call Center Services
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations
  • Ability to comprehend and respond to internal and external customers
