FUNCTION DESCRIPTION: Processes a variety of financial transactions and member services in both lobby and drive-up in a timely, accurate and professional manner while providing exceptional member service. Maintains thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services. Consistently evaluates sales opportunities, makes recommendations or offers products and refers members to the appropriate sales staff. Establishes new accounts for potential and existing members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of cash handling experience.
  • One year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact positively with others in person, by email, and by phone.
  • Ability to perform all teller duties while maintaining a high teller balancing efficiency (85% or higher).
  • Ability to accurately enter data and update member financial records.
  • Ability to identify needs and sell appropriate products and services.
  • Ability to obtain and perform Notary services.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes a variety of financial transactions and member services in both lobby and drive-up.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services.
  • Evaluates sales opportunities and makes recommendations or offers products.
  • Refers members to the appropriate sales staff.
  • Establishes new accounts for potential and existing members.
  • Communicates with members in a positive manner, through exceptional service.
  • Understands and communicates key features and benefits of all Bellco products and services.
  • Accesses and navigates devices and systems including TELLERphone and Bellco online banking.
  • Opens and maintains personal accounts for potential and existing members.
  • Processes international and domestic wire transfers for members.
  • Handles digital appointments and allocates them to employees.
  • Accurately submits unsecured lending applications and conducts loan closings.
  • Performs non-lending service transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Conducts account maintenance including contact information changes and debit card issuance.
  • Assists members with power of attorney requests and notary services.
  • Assists with branch balancing and operations.
