About The Position

The Member Service Advisor at Navigant Credit Union plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the financial well-being of members. This position involves processing a variety of member transactions, providing information about credit union products and services, and meeting established sales and service goals. The advisor acts as an advocate for members, ensuring their needs are met while adhering to the credit union's core values and mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in member service, operations, and/or lending.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous telephone sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Processes all member transactions via phone, mail, e-mail, fax, and online services including loan payments and account transfers.
  • Responds to member inquiries regarding discrepancies or problems with their accounts and researches to determine correct actions.
  • Provides accurate information to members regarding Credit Union services, products, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyzes member relationships to optimize existing products and services and deepen relationships through cross-selling.
  • Conducts prospecting including outbound calls and emails to meet established sales goals.
  • Performs other member services and administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager or Manager.
