About The Position

The position is focused on generating new business and providing ongoing relationship servicing with current members of the credit union. The role involves cross-selling credit union products and services to assist members in meeting their financial needs. A proficient understanding of all credit union products and services, including personal and vehicle loans, is essential to identify and offer additional referral opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 2 years of college preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related financial services industry experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates needs of new and existing members and offers appropriate financial products and services.
  • Assists in meeting Branch goals by expanding member relationships through active selling of credit union products and services.
  • Provides ongoing relationship servicing with current members to maintain goodwill and gain additional business.
  • Adheres to the member onboarding program and makes outbound calls or sends emails to members.
  • Opens and closes new memberships, including IRA, Trust, Estate.
  • Processes personal and vehicle loans with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Acts as in-branch greeter to ensure positive member experiences and support adoption of member facing technologies.
  • Responds to member inquiries and requests.
  • Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals.
  • Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions.
  • Processes member transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Performs accurate and timely file maintenance on member accounts.
  • Examines documents for endorsement and negotiability.
  • Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.
  • Supports the daily branch settlement of cash boxes, vaults, cash recyclers, ATMs, ITMs, and all negotiable instruments within the branch.
  • Demonstrates operational excellence and looks for ways to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintains established member authentication, quality control, and audit standards.
  • Participates in and supports branch and community events.
  • Travels to other branch locations on occasion.
  • Adheres to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies.
