About The Position

The position involves leading the investigation for advanced analog IC architectures specifically for high-speed optical communication systems. This includes working on critical components such as Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) and laser drivers. The role requires evaluating various architectural approaches and process nodes to identify the most effective solutions for next-generation optical transceivers. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for optimizing analog circuit performance, focusing on speed, power efficiency, and noise performance to meet the stringent requirements of high-speed optical communication. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including internal IC departments, external IC suppliers, and customers, is essential to gather product requirements and assess integration feasibility into full end system solutions. The candidate is also expected to stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in optical communication solutions. Documentation and reporting of design decisions and project status to stakeholders are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in analog IC design with a focus on high-speed optical communication systems, including TIAs and laser drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and mentor team members.
