Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree; Master’s degree a plus.
  • 2+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems.
  • Passion for software development and willingness to constantly learn and work in a team setting.
  • Extensive experience with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud platforms at the API/programming level.
  • Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
  • Experience delivering a containerized service in a K8s based platform.
  • Experience in Go and SQL.
  • REST API client experience.
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • Unix/Linux programming environment experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data and real-time events and network telemetry from multiple public clouds.
  • Provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers to help them identify and minimize risk in the cloud.
  • Design services, work out all details, defend the design/architecture before peers, and deliver a rock-solid implementation.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers and become productive members of the team.
  • Write code primarily in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other types of interfaces.
  • Own critical features and subsystems and manage the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Own operational aspects of the system and understand how to write better, more supportable software.
  • Ensure code quality through early developer testing and functional/integration testing.
  • Partner with Product Management to review and refine requirements that exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the fundamental problems our customers need solved through interaction with stakeholders and peers.
