About The Position

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to build developer tooling that enables developer velocity and reliability for the entire engineering organization. Our team owns the full end-to-end development lifecycle at Chronosphere, from local development tools, CI/CD, dynamic testing environments, deployments, and releases. You’ll be working with the latest cloud-native technologies as you build an infrastructure platform that enables the engineering organization to deliver observability for some of the largest technology companies.

Requirements

• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently drive projects end-to-end from architecture to rollout.
• Experience in building high-scale and distributed cloud systems.
• A breadth of experience with context across the stack from the Cloud Provider and Kubernetes level down to the application container level.
• Collaboration skills both within the team and cross-functionally across the engineering organization.
• The ability to grow and up-level your peers with experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Excellent skills in an object-oriented programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain an array of developer tooling that enhances developer productivity and reliability within a high-scale, distributed cloud environment.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve software development lifecycle bottlenecks and advocate for best practices in development processes.
• Architect our infrastructure systems to ensure reliability in the face of our high scale of traffic.
• Build on top of our infrastructure stack using Go, Terraform, Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS.
• Consult with engineers across the engineering organization as they build their systems to ensure infrastructure best practices.
