Reporting to the Global Stablecoin Accounting Lead, the Member of Accounting, Stablecoins role focuses on the end-to-end accounting, reporting and attestation processes for Anchorage Digital’s stablecoin issuance platform. It sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, product, treasury, risk, and operations teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and reporting accuracy We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Accounting Team member role:

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of relevant public accounting and/or relevant industry experience in crypto or stablecoin accounting
  • Prior experience with monthly stablecoin attestations
  • Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in creating and editing SQL queries related to large data sets
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets (pref) or Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, thrive in the face of ambiguity and excel in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary preparer for stablecoin-related accounting and reporting activities, supporting management review and approval.
  • Use advanced Google Sheets skills to handle large data sets efficiently and reliably.
  • Resolve diverse accounting issues by evaluating multiple solution paths and adapting quickly to evolving business requirements.
  • Prepare and record stablecoin customer flows, including cash movements and issuance/redemption entries.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations to support accurate and complete stablecoin reporting.
  • Prepare monthly stablecoin reserve reports for all stablecoins issued by Anchorage Digital Bank and support the attestation process with the independent auditor.
  • Verify reporting accuracy for both existing stablecoin products and new launches.
  • Conduct fluctuation analyses and variance reviews to ensure general ledger balances match financial statements.
  • Support the implementation of accounting software to automate and streamline the closing process.
  • Support SOX compliance, SEC reporting, audit, and tax activities.
  • Contribute to special accounting projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • Understand the strategy of Anchorage and contribute to planning and goal-setting exercises for the team.
  • Investigate and resolve variances resulting from flux analysis and account reconciliations.
  • Foster a positive working environment through active listening, clear communication, and empathy with team members. Model and exemplify our culture pillars.
  • Document and standardize processes with intention to create shared understanding and eliminate single points of failure.
  • Support internal and external audit processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare accounting process documentation and walkthroughs to enable data engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions.
