About The Position

Paul Bunyan Communications has an opening for a full-time Member Experience Associate (CSA) reporting to the Grand Rapids, MN office. We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, detail-oriented person able to work in a fast-paced customer service atmosphere. Qualified applicants must enjoy working with the public, possess good communication, computer and phone skills, and be able to work well with others. In addition, we are looking for someone with a strong technical background to assist customers with troubleshooting our services we provide. Along with customer relations, duties will include answering phones, assisting customers with state-of-the-art technologies in the telephone and internet industry and operation of television equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate degree in customer service, technical support, or related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted for an associate degree.
  • Relevant experience in a tech support, customer service role or an equivalent skill set.
  • Strong computer skills and technical knowledge.
  • Proven ability to provide quality customer service support.
  • Strong organization skills to promptly address all customer inquiries.
  • Ability to develop detailed knowledge of Company products, features and benefits.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Strong customer interaction and people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Take applications for service, make service changes, process service orders, take payments, assist with answering billing questions related to services.
  • Maintains knowledge of Cooperative products, services and pricing information.
  • Takes the initiative to learn, understand and asking questions to gain a better understanding of Cooperative services and pricing to better serve the customers.
  • Assists customers with troubleshooting services such as telephone and PBTV.
  • Maintains knowledge of software programs and web-based programs used to access, process and maintain customer information and records.
  • Ability to operate office equipment to include but not limited to printers, scanners, fax machines, mail machines and computers.
  • Handles customer payments, inquiries,
  • Assists Member Experience Specialists and Receptionist back up and assist with the daily operations of the Cooperative as needed.
  • Adheres to safety rules set by state, federal and local authorities as well as OSHA. Continuously keeps safety in mind at all times.
  • Participates in job related training as needed.
  • Continuously works in a professional and courteous manner to include upholding the Cooperative's mission statement.
  • Treats coworkers and others within PBC and the community with respect and courtesy at all times to enhance PBC's image.
