About The Position

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns - both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members - with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle. The Member Engagement Director is responsible for advising and executing the DCCC Chair's goals for engaging the Members of the House Democratic Caucus in the work of recapturing the House majority. The Member Engagement Director will work across the organization to implement a program to engage Members, as well as senior-level Hill staff. They will also be the point person tasked with providing political support and guidance to Members or candidates who are running in seats that are outside of our core swing-seat battlefield. The ideal candidate will be self-starting, strategic, have strong political and campaign finance acumen, and be passionate about Democratic campaigns. This is not a traditional 9-5 role. Evening and weekend work and communication will be expected from time to time.
