About The Position

The Member Consultant at STCU is responsible for creating exceptional in-person experiences for both existing and prospective members at retail locations. This role involves conducting personalized interviews to understand members' financial positions and recommending suitable products and services to enhance their financial well-being. The Member Consultant aims to build strong relationships, exceed service expectations, and uphold the credit union's commitment to integrity and confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to serve others and commitment to lifelong learning.
• Ability to work hard and maintain a fun-loving attitude.

Responsibilities

• Protect the integrity and confidentiality of membership by verifying account ownership.
• Perform transactional duties with high accuracy in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
• Originate and expand member relationships through personalized financial reviews.
• Exceed service expectations by creating exceptional member experiences and resolving issues effectively.
• Demonstrate knowledge of consumer deposit products and lending services.
• Meet or exceed monthly branch goals by promoting ancillary products and submitting partner referrals.
• Build trust by confidently answering member questions and resolving complex issues.
• Engage in conversations to identify members' needs and deepen relationships.
• Embody Everyday Personal Leadership principles to maintain productive relationships within the organization.
• Process cash transactions as needed.
