About The Position

The position involves the service of food and/or beverage, including order-taking and delivery, handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. The role requires checking the station for proper set-up and cleanliness, greeting guests, recording orders accurately, inputting orders into the Point of Sale system, retrieving and delivering orders, and monitoring guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer one year previous serving experience.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification; Responsible Vendors Training; CPR Training preferred.
• Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
• Additional language ability preferred, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions.
• Record details of the order from guests, upsell, and repeat the order to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale computer in compliance with department protocol.
• Retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guest with appropriate condiments.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve dessert items or specialty beverages upon request.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and present check, processing it per hotel procedures.
• Communicate with kitchen chefs and abide by their rules and guidelines.
