Apply today! POSITION SUMMARY Deliver aluminum to the casting floor at temperature, in specification, on time, and safely 100% of the time. Clean and dross melting and holding furnaces. Operate and maintain all related equipment in accordance to training and established procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform full furnace inspections daily to ensure proper operation of all furnace systems. Complete required paperwork per work instructions. Perform daily PM on equipment and report any defective equipment to group lead. Cleans and fluxes central melt furnace. Cleaning of delivery transfer ladle. Ensure that all pouring areas are set with all tools needed during the pouring process. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic reading and math skills required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in comprehensive English.
  • Must be able to pass the MKC forklift and crane certification.
  • Demonstrate group participation in a self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed work team.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, mechanical, problem solving, and computer skills preferred.
