About The Position

Melo Melo is seeking a part-time Crew Member for its new location in the Westfield UTC mall in San Diego. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service in a coconut dessert shop, with opportunities for growth and promotion as the company expands throughout Southern California.

Requirements

• 1 year experience in the food or service industry is preferred, but not required
• Food Handler certificate is required
• Work availability must be 5 or 6 days
• Must have flexibility and ability to work holidays and weekends
• Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
• Ability to take direction and instructions
• Uniforms must be worn at all times while working shifts
• Proficiency in English, Chinese and/or other languages is a plus
• Legal working status

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Chinese
• Experience in a Chinese restaurant

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, take orders, and assist customers with their orders
• Understand and comply with store operation procedures, policies, and responsibilities
• Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) system
• Perform cashier duties and opening and closing procedures at the beginning or end of each shift/day
• Maintain cleanliness of the store
• Prepare food items, including cutting fruit
• Assist with unloading/lifting boxes of inventory
• Receive and report daily inventory
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance
• Promote certain product items
• Maintain a positive attitude and work well with fellow staff members
• Perform duties as assigned
