External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Your Role: MEGASYS® at EMD Electronics is seeking Bulk Gas Shift Leads for our new location in Taylor, Texas. MEGASYS® offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments. In the MEGASYS® Shift Lead Role, you will oversee technicians’ daily activities essential in ensuring the supply of chemicals and gases necessary for producing chips used in various electronic devices. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years' experience in a semiconductor, chemical, or other manufacturing setting

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • 1+ years internal experience on the MEGASYS Team
  • Awareness of six sigma techniques
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
  • Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Awareness of ISO9000 / ISO9001 and/or ISO14001
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to plan and prioritize activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills and Root Cause Analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, 4M, 5M or 6M)
  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices (Strong OSHA, DOT or COI Experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction to the technician team
  • Responsible for completion of daily tasks
  • Shift change responsibility reinforcement; ensures seamless handoff of services from shift-to-shift
  • Main customer contact while on shift
  • Distributes and monitors workload among techs on shift
  • Maintains company inspection reports for safety and quality
  • Audit operations and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standards
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed
  • Report quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation process
  • Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes and safety
  • Responsible for ensuring Operations is executing their task with Safety and Quality on each shift
  • Takes ownership of NCE events and uses the system to address operational concerns in a timely manner
