About The Position

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides Information Technology (IT) support to PAE FIRES which is a Continental United States (CONUS) organization. The OCIO provides centralized life cycle management, direction, guidance, and support for the acquisition, sustainment, maintainability, supportability, and implementation of the PAE, Information Mission Area (IMA). PAE FIRES is an approved Data Center providing hosting to multiple organizations throughout the US Army Acquisition community.

Job Summary:
The Telecommunications Specialist I/AV Assistant provides 100% Onsite engineering and O&M support for Executive (VIP) level Teams Meetings, VTC, SVTC, and multimedia systems to ensure resources and services are operational and available with minimal interruption.

• Familiarity with Cisco Collaboration or Cisco Video or equivalent, Cisco Telepresence, Tandberg, Cisco Video, Microsoft Teams

Responsibilities

• Set-up, establish, and connect Executive Staff Teams meetings and provide hand-on support before and during meetings
• Connect secure and non-secure VTC calls and bridge connections in conjunction with hardware configuration support
• Monitor Executive Conference Room performance and conduct daily system/equipment checks to ensure connectivity and effective operation
• Assist local facilitators with conference room with Executive Meeting set-up and support; as well as provide training and technical assistance in troubleshooting equipment and connections as required.
• Provide on-site technical support during DV-hosted (O-6 and above) VTCs.
• Monitor and control Executive Conference Room performance, utilization and capacity to ensure optimal system performance, availability, serviceability and recoverability; and report vulnerabilities or deficiencies to government technical representatives.
• Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance.
• Support on-demand and ad-hoc multimedia requirements.
