About The Position

The Meeting & Events Manager at Riverbend is responsible for entertaining clients during the sourcing stage of proposal development, collaborating with clients to capture the vision and objectives of their events, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver Five Star corporate events. The role includes mentoring associates, driving incremental revenue through high-margin programming, and serving as the on-site contact during high-profile events. The manager will partner with the Corporate Sales team to increase the capture rate of corporate events and ensure a luxury experience that enhances rebooking rates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of Hospitality experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer software, including experience with property management systems is a plus.
  • General computer proficiency required.
  • Private club experience preferred.
  • Golf Event planning experience with demonstrated execution of events highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Entertain clients on site during the sourcing stage of proposal development.
  • Collaborate with clients to capture the vision and objective of their event.
  • Lead direction for staffing levels of cross-functional teams to deliver Five Star corporate events.
  • Mentor M&E Coordinator and Sales Coordinator associates.
  • Drive incremental revenue by promoting high margin programming and up-selling clients.
  • Serve as on-site contact during high-profile programming.
  • Partner with Corporate Sales team on pre-contracted site visits.
  • Attend weekly Banquet & Event Order (BEO) and Resume meetings.
  • Develop group quotes and negotiate with 3rd party product and service providers.
  • Communicate client revisions throughout the resort to enhance guest experience.
  • Create a resource library for 3rd party vendors.
  • Conduct Post Conference Meetings with clients and internal sales team.
  • Provide monthly banquet forecasts to accounting and banquet/catering teams.
  • Generate proposals/contracts for one day events.
  • Deliver banquet events orders and group resumes prior to group arrival.
  • Submit group rooming list prior to group arrival.
  • Follow up on all accounts receivable billing concerns.
