About The Position

As a Meeting & Events Coordinator at Kohler Hospitality, you will coordinate all weddings, social events, social day meetings, and select designated corporate events held within Kohler, WI. Your role will involve selling the resort and satellite properties at the best possible profit while ensuring complete guest satisfaction. You will focus on maximizing catering business throughout Destination Kohler and other Kohler Hospitality properties, completing administrative duties based on event needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma; college degree in Hospitality management preferred.
• 1+ years of previous Hospitality experience.
• Catering, Meeting and Event experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computer software including Windows, Word, and Amadeus is a plus.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Entertain clients on site during the sourcing stage of proposal development.
• Collaborate with clients to capture the vision and objective of their event.
• Lead direction for staffing levels of cross-functional teams to deliver Five Star corporate events.
• Drive incremental revenue by promoting high margin programming and up-selling clients.
• Serve as on-site contact during medium profile, low profile, and one day revenue producing group business.
• Partner with Corporate Sales team on pre-contracted site visits to increase capture rate of corporate events.
• Partner with clients to achieve resort spend above contracted obligation.
• Connect Kohler Décor & Design Team with contacts to enhance events.
• Deliver Five Star programming to increase rebooking rates.
• Attend weekly Banquet & Event Order (BEO) and Resume meetings.
• Develop detailed estimates for clients and internal accounting team.
• Communicate client revisions throughout the resort.
• Create a resource library for 3rd party vendors.
• Conduct Pre and Post Conference Meetings with clients and internal sales team.
