SUMMARY: The Shift Manager (MedTech) acts as a team leader, direct supervisor of resident caregivers ensuring that the resident needs are met, distributes medications and assists in the skill training of all new resident caregivers as well as developing requests for in service training. The Shift Manager reports directly to the Administrator and Resident Care Coordinator (RCC). In absence of Administrator and RCC, the Shift Manager is responsible for overall flow in facility and has authority to make minor decisions regarding the care on the floor; and to summon emergency care if the resident is in distress. All other care decisions are made by the Administrator or RCC.
