MedTech Travel Clinical Educator RN (Per Diem)
About The Position
Our Per Diem RN Clinical Educators experience a unique opportunity to employ their clinical nursing expertise in a new way outside patient care, while continuing to collaborate with healthcare professionals and advocate for the well-being of patients through medical device technology. Qualified Clinical Educators/Registered Nurses will be tasked with educating Registered Nurses on IV Infusion Pumps. You are responsible for education only ; no sales responsibilities, and no patient care. This role requires national travel. There will be an average of 2 assignments per month , ranging 3-5 days per assignment. You will have a flexible schedule, an opportunity to travel, grow and expand into new opportunities while earning supplemental income and learning the medical device industry. Collaborate with client functional areas: · Provide clinical and professional expertise to end users including RN staff, Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a setting without patient care · Provide customer feedback to corporate teams to improve new and existing medical devices · Serve as an education resource on the particular device
Requirements
- RN Degree - Associate's required, Bachelor's preferred
- Active and Unrestricted RN License required
- 3-5 years Critical Care, ICU experience required
- Must be comfortable with basic software programs
- Availability to travel nationally 2 weeks per month
- Duties may require compliance with client and hospital requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinated
Nice To Haves
- ER, ICU, Oncology experience preferred
- Experience working with cardiac invasive monitoring devices
- Leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Educator, Preceptor) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide peer-to-peer education and consultation to RN, Physician, and other healthcare staff in support of end-user education needs in the healthcare setting
- Assess customer needs and assist with resolving issues stemming from lack of medical device knowledge or understanding of the particular product
- Assist in the delivery of medical device-related in-service education to support key customers
- Follow-up with key accounts and customers to assess unmet education and clinical needs as it relates to successful medical device implementation
- Provide clinical and professional expertise to end users including RN staff, Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a setting without patient care
- Provide customer feedback to corporate teams to improve new and existing medical devices
- Serve as an education resource on the particular device
