About The Position

IQVIA is seeking MedTech Field Service Technicians to support healthcare systems nationwide by installing and optimizing medical device technology. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, providing technical expertise on hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, and educational training for automated medication dispensing devices. This per diem position offers a flexible schedule with extensive travel, allowing you to develop technical and leadership skills with a leading healthcare company.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
  • Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must live within one hour of a major airport for travel efficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must set scheduled availability in IQVIA systems to receive assignments.
  • Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.
  • Open availability Monday–Friday; work occurs 28–32 hours per week, plus travel time.
  • Position requires some nights and weekends based on customer needs.
  • Travel is regional, national, and local, with work scheduled during weekdays.
  • Duties may require compliance with hospital vaccine and credentialing requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
  • Prior military experience in electronics or IT roles encouraged to apply.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with automation equipment in healthcare settings preferred.
  • A+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
  • Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
  • Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
  • Provide customer-focused technical support in a professional, responsive, and resourceful manner.
  • Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
  • Participate in upgrades, preventative maintenance, and system migrations.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
  • Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment.
