About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced acute care environment in Panama City, Florida. This role is ideal for RNs who value teamwork, clinical variety, and consistent patient interaction in a structured inpatient setting. The unit supports a broad adult patient population with opportunities to strengthen core acute care nursing skills.

Requirements

Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
Recent acute care RN experience
Within the last 3 years, or
Within the last 5 years for nurses with extensive overall RN experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to perform physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Prior Medical-Surgical or inpatient acute care experience

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in accordance with evidence-based nursing practice and established protocols
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient conditions and escalate care as clinically indicated
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
