About The Position

OTC Fleet Services is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on light to medium-duty vehicles and trucks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting state inspections and emissions tests, diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, chassis, and electrical components. The role also involves road testing vehicles to ensure proper functionality and utilizing basic computer skills and scan tool equipment. The mechanic will work collaboratively with others, exhibit strong communication skills, and manage assigned tasks while maintaining a clean workspace.

Requirements

• Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment
• Pennsylvania Inspection License & Emissions
• Have a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as mechanic on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on light to medium-duty vehicles and trucks in shop.
• Perform State Inspections and Emissions and follow up repairs on light to medium-duty vehicles and trucks.
• Diagnose and repair light to medium-duty vehicles including but not limited to engine, transmission, chassis and electrical.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly.
• Navigate basic computer skills and scan tool equipment.
• Work well with others and exhibit good communication skills.
• Self-manage assigned tasks and keep workspace clean.
