About The Position

The Pet Play Worker position at Medina Creative Housing involves caring for pets and assisting individuals with disabilities. The role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. The worker will be responsible for following procedures, training employees and consumers, and maintaining documentation. Open availability during operational hours and weekends is essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with pets and individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Must undergo a criminal background check and registry checks.
• CPR/FA certified (training will be provided).
• Completion of an 8 Hour Provider Course through DODD.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in animal handling.
• Experience in working with people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA) procedures and train employees/consumers accordingly.
• Follow all behavioral plans and Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
• Maintain and oversee tracking logs and document logs, training employees on proper documentation procedures.
• Maintain contact with the Employment Services Manager and MCA Services Manager.
• Submit all paperwork, receipts, and documents in a timely manner.
• Attend ISP meetings as requested.
• Know and follow all emergency procedures.
• Train employees/consumers in good work-related manners and habits.
• Collaborate with management to organize and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Complete work orders as directed by the manager.
• Clock in employees/consumers daily and manage their shifts.
• Provide training to consumers as needed.
• Recommend changes to improve the work environment.
