The role ensures continuous 24/7 coverage for death investigations across the OCME’s jurisdiction, coordinating activities among Medical Examiner Specialists and administrative staff. Responsibilities include supervising investigations, maintaining operational standards, and fostering collaboration with law enforcement, public health, and other external partners. The position is integral to the OCME management team and supports statewide medicolegal services.
